Coffee & Chat

Coffee & Chat #42

Hello, happy Friday, my friends!

Raise your hand if you can’t believe it’s already July 17th. My hand is definitely up! Seriously…how did we go from looking forward to the Fourth of July weekend to suddenly finding ourselves in the middle of the month?

On the bright side, we’re that much closer to the ‘ber months. Sorry…not sorry. I absolutely love September through December. Give me cozy sweaters, crisp mornings, pumpkins, and Christmas movies any day!

Since my copy edits for Spirits and Suspicions were returned last week, I jumped back into the first draft of the next Food Blogger Mystery after taking a couple of days off. By Monday, I was back in Jefferson, and I loved every minute of it. It’s still early in the process, but this one is already shaping up to be one of my favorite books in the series.

I also finished reading an ARC of Bubble, Bubble, Tea and Trouble by Vicki Delaney, which releases on July 28. I absolutely loved it! Throughout the week, we spent some time planting more flowers in our garden beds, and I also started working on a brand-new, non-book project.

I can’t wait to share more about it with you. For now, I’ll just say this: I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing…but I’m taking the leap anyway. Sometimes that’s the best way to learn, right?

And to round out the week, little Miss Connie had her grooming appointment. I couldn’t resist snapping a photo of her sitting in her car seat on the ride home, looking as adorable as ever. It was very humid and hot, so it was hard to get a photo of her. This was the best out of the bunch.

Wishing you cozy reads, warm days, and a good book always within reach.

Until next time,

Debra

But before you go…

I’d love to know if you’re already dreaming about fall, or are you soaking up every bit of summer?

I am savoring every bit of summer, although our weather here in New Hampshire has been a roller coaster ride!
Love all of your titles and can’t wait for more!
