Time for another snippet. My sleuth, Hope, has arrived for the garden tour which is being hosted by a good friend, Audrey.

Excerpt:

A few seconds passed before the door opened and Audrey greeted them.

“Good morning.” Audrey’s unsteady smile vanished when her gaze passed over Hope’s shoulder and found Claire. “I thought you’d changed your mind about coming.”

“Like I said last night, she’s not going to cause any trouble,” Hope reassured her friend. When they spoke the night before Hope found that nerves combined with frustration made a wicked combination.
